History of Elliott MVP Services

MVP was founded in December 2000 to provide turnkey field service and repairs of steam and gas turbines.  In May 2001, Wood Group, PLC acquired MVP and moved the shop from South St. Louis to the present 64,000 square foot location in Barnhart, Missouri.  With a $1 million investment in machinery and facility upgrades, MVP became one of the pre-eminent turbine repair operations in the Midwest.

In September 2008, MVP was acquired by Elliott Company   For nearly 100 years, Elliott has designed, manufactured and serviced turbomachinery for companies throughout the world.  Elliott maintains a growing, global network of service facilities for the repair of rotating equipment from Elliott or any other turbomachinery manufacturer, as well as major manufacturing facilities in Jeannette, Pennsylvania and Sodegaura, Chiba, Japan,

The MVP facility perfectly complements Elliott’s service capabilities in North America.  The Elliott MVP team has more than 100 years of combined experience in maintaining repairing and restoring steam and gas turbines and components for the power generation industry. Elliott MVP also offers an array of portable machining and balancing capabilities for on-site repairs and maintenance that few other turbine service providers can match.  Backed by Elliott’s service network and world-class engineering resources, Elliott MVP is committed to delivering state-of-the-art service to power generation customers throughout North America.
